INSTALLATION: The infant carrier can be used as part of a travel system, and comes with two car seat adaptors which slot easily into the housings on the me-MO Combi chassis, onto which the car seat is then attached. Removal of the carrier from the chassis is just as simple using the designated release buttons on the adaptors.

If using the carrier as a car seat, it must be used in the rearward facing position (i.e. with baby facing backwards) on either the rear seats, or any front passenger seat without an airbag, and with the handle in the correct position. The vehicle's standard 3-point seat belt is used to secure the seat in place via lap and shoulder belt guides.

A detailed set of easy-to-follow instructions with diagrams are provided with the product.

GOOD POINTS: The me-MO Car Seat is a stylish looking baby carrier with an attractive design and great attention to detail. Its primary feature is its versatility as a car seat as well as forming part of a travel system. It is very simple to fit into (and remove from) any vehicle with a 3-point seat belt, and also comes with the necessary adaptors to allow it to be slotted quickly and easily into corresponding housings on the chassis for use as part of the me-MO 3-in-1 Combi travel system (see notes above and also the instruction manual for more detailed information). Using the infant carrier with the travel system enables your child to travel facing you so that you can keep an eye on them at all times, and in addition allows your sleeping baby to be transferred from pushchair to car (and vice versa) without needing to disturb them. The car seat also has a handy rocking base which is ideal simply for indoor use such as feeding or soothing your baby.

The seat is well padded for baby's comfort, and is covered in a good quality black fabric which is very durable and fully machine washable. The front of the seat has a beautifully finished white and green 'Cosatto me-MO' embroidery, complete with a little 'Spike the Hedgehog' badge. The seat has side impact protection, and a secure five-point harness with soft padded crotch and shoulder straps. These straps are adjustable to suit baby's age and size, and can be loosened and tightened via a 'one-pull' adjuster strap and TMS release button located at the front of the seat. The seat comes with a comfy padded seat liner (in an attractive grey leaf print design) with integrated head hugger to keep baby snug, safe and supported during travel. The harness straps are inserted through designated holes in this insert, and both the seat cover and seat liner have a choice of two shoulder strap positions to cater for your growing child.

A sturdy carry handle has several adjustable positions to suit the situation: a forwards position for use in the car, an upright carrying position, a stow position, and a rearwards 'steady' position for preventing the seat from rocking. Changing the position of the handle is quick and easy by simply pushing the red button on each side of the handle and moving it until it locks into place.

The seat also has a removable concertina-style canopy (with further leaf print and embroidered design), which simply attaches to the back of the car seat via a series of poppers, and can be pulled down as required to protect your child from the elements. In addition, a small storage area with pull-down door on the back of the seat is a perfect place to keep your instruction manual (and seat adaptors) safe when not in use!

In our opinion, the me-MO Car Seat is a wonderfully versatile mode of transport for your young child, and its stylish design, good quality finish, and great safety features make for a relaxed and comfortable journey all round!

BAD POINTS: Like all car seats, the seat cover is a little fiddly to remove and replace, although it is fully machine washable at 30 degrees.
