GOOD POINTS: The Usborne 'Look inside' range is a truly fantastic collection of educational and interactive fact-packed books that teach children about important and useful subjects in a fun and informative way, and the Look inside: Your Body book is certainly no exception!
The book has a sturdy hardback cover and consists of a number of thick board pages. The book covers six main topics relating to how the human body works, which include:
-
Eating food
-
Staying alive
-
Your bones...and your muscles
-
Your brain
-
Your senses
-
Growing and healing
Each of the topics is displayed across a double page, and includes a multitude of short and easy-to-understand facts and explanations, along with some wonderfully detailed colour illustrations. In addition, each page contains a huge number of fun interactive flaps for your child to open and explore, with further surprise flaps, fascinating facts and illustrations hidden inside! There are even several practical and safe 'experiments' for your child to try at home in order to reinforce learning.
This is, in our opinion, a must-have for the bookcase...a superbly written and designed factual book that covers the ins-and-outs of the human body in a way that young children will love learning about.
BAD POINTS: The flaps may not withstand lots of rough or repeated handling, particularly by younger
