Press Release: National Competitio​n Launches to Celebrate Dads on Father's Day

When it comes to parenting, it seems we never miss an opportunity to put our poor chaps down!

Whether it's assuming that he's just not as good as mum at all that childcare multi-tasking or complaining that his busy work schedule always gets in the way, there is often nothing men can get right.

One company, however, is on a mission to set the record straight and give men credit where it's due this Father's Day, with the launch of a national competition dedicated to celebrating the greatness of blokes across the country.

For the second year running, the hunt is on for the UK's MEGA Bloke of the Year.
The award has been devised by a well-known toy company in association with popular parenting website, www.madeformums.com, who together are inviting readers to tell them about the fantastic men in their lives with the goal of finding the UK's MEGA Bloke.

MEGA Bloks, the UK's market leader in junior construction toys for infants and toddlers, came up with the idea for the awards last year as part of its 25th Birthday celebrations.  The company believes men are often forgotten about when it comes to praise, and that dads, granddads, partners, uncles and brothers up and down the country deserve to be recognised.
