DESCRIPTION: A playset from the Tomica HyperCity Rescue range, consisting of an emergency police hovercraft toy with front opening launch, removable vehicle transport container, working winch, raft, jet ski, policeman play figure and sticker detailing. Suitable for children aged 4 to 7 years.

GOOD POINTS: The Police Hover Container is just one in a range of playsets from the Tomica HyperCity range that will particularly appeal to young boys.

The playset consists of a wonderful little police rescue hovercraft which patrols the seas to keep the peace, and comes with a little policeman play figure complete with detailed police uniform and articulated limbs!

The hovercraft is mainly blue in colour and is a good size for small hands. It has a durable plastic body, and great attention to detail including large propellers (these need to be attached prior to use), pretend air cushioned base and slide-out back ramp. A large detachable white raft sits in place on the underside of the base.

The hovercraft carries a large grey container on its back (this simply clips into place), designed to carry Tomica police vehicles (or any others that will fit) speedily to any emergency! The container has three flip-down openings on the sides and back to transport the vehicles easily into and out of the container. In addition, the roof of the container rotates completely round to reveal a special holding place for the winch. The winch simply slides on into place, and has a working pull-out cable with hook which can be attached to the raft to pull further vehicles along behind the hovercraft. A spool on the end of the winch winds the rope back in. Alternatively, the container can be removed completely from the hovercraft and the winch attached to a clip on the back of the driver's compartment instead.

The front compartment of the hovercraft has lots of external detail, including police sirens, front headlights, fold down side compartments, and translucent windscreen, and is big enough to house the little blue and white jet ski which is included in the set. Furthermore, the windscreen flips open to enable the jet ski (with play figure) to be launched quickly out of the front of the hovercraft.

It is also worth noting that the set includes some great little stickers for your child (or you) to add detailing to the exterior and interior of the various components, including police badges and markings, and also diving and rescue equipment to go on the inside of the container.

In our opinion, this is an fun action-packed playset that is part of a much larger (and equally great looking) Tomica range for your child to collect. The playset is well designed, and has loads of play features and accessories to stimulate plenty of role play rescue adventures.

BAD POINTS: The sticker detailing may wear off over time.
