Press Release: Lots of fun at Play Fest parties!

Recent social media collaboration between a children’s games and puzzle manufacturer and an internet marketing company led to fun and good fortune for a lot of internet savvy mums.

On Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th April Orchard Toys joined up with Buzz Internet Marketing to hold Twitter and Facebook Play Fest parties.

The theme was educational play on both nights, from 8.30 until 10.00 pm which proved extremely popular with over 300 people, mainly mums, pre-registering for both parties.

Says Lynda Freebrey, social media protaganist at Orchard Toys, “Both nights were extremely lively with lots and lots of questions about our products and educational play in general. I found it an excellent way to engage with customers, and potential customers, and to hear their feedback about our products. Participants found it a great forum to chat and swap ideas with other mothers.”

During the evenings, participants, as well as chatting, took part in polls and watched and commented on reviews of Orchard Toys, latest products.

Prizes were given as an enticement to join the fun and everybody who participated on the nights was given a free Orchard Toys Tangram.

When asked in the poll what they valued most about their Play Fest experience with Orchard Toys, sample responses were:

  • The chance to ‘speak’ to those behind the brand! 
  • One-on-one advice and recommendations of games specific to my needs 
  • Mums giving me honest feedback 
  • The chance to give ideas and suggestions directly to the company 
  • Seeing the video reviews are really helpful 

What did Orchard Toys’ participation in Play Fest say about them as a brand?

  • Fun, willing to connect with customers, willing to answer questions! 
  • Friendly, approachable, interested 
  • It shows they want to know how their customers feel about their products and that they value them 
  • That they are dedicated to providing quality products that meet the needs of children both in terms of fun and education.

Play Fest is held every Tuesday night on Twitter (using #Playfest in your tweet) and Thursday night on IzziwizziKids Facebook page.  The next Orchard Toys themed Play Fests will be in June.
