DESCRIPTION: A multi-functional activity walker with castors, designed to support baby and encourage mobility through three stages: a jumper mode (from 6 months), a walker mode (from 6 months) and a push-along mode (from 9 months). Comes with detachable car toy tray and interactive sounds and lights. Requires 5 x AA batteries (not included). Available in pink, blue or red. Suitable for children aged 6 months upwards (maximum weight 12kg, maximum height 85cm). Approximate size is 70 x 65 x 53cm.

ASSEMBLY: The walker comes flat-packed although assembly is easy following the detailed instructions provided. The pack includes 1 x seat/upper plate, 1 x lower base with kick pad, 2 x support legs, 1 x toy tray, 2 x handrails, 4 x wheels/castors, 1 x windscreen, 1 x fan and 1 x horn.

The wheels simply slot into place on the lower base, and three AA batteries need to be inserted into the battery compartment on the kick pad (you will require a screwdriver for this). The support legs are inserted into slots on either side of the seat unit and connect at the other end to the base. Two further AA batteries are required for the toy tray, which then simply slots onto the seat unit. The handrails, windscreen and toys are fitted in a similar fashion into designated holes.

It is very easy to change between the walker, jumper and push-along modes through a series of simple manoeuvres fully described in the manual.

GOOD POINTS: If activity is what your child is after then nothing beats the Petite Star Convertible Car Walker. This is a fully featured and versatile product which will last longer than a normal walker due to its multi-functional design.

The walker looks like a sporty car and has lots of interactive gadgets, sounds, lights and wonderful attention to detail to maximise sensory stimulation. It is very durable and has three modes which enable it to fully cater for your growing child.

The walker mode is suitable for use with children aged six months upwards who can sit unaided, and offers a platform of interactive entertainment for your child to practise their coordination, whilst providing the necessary support to their legs and back. As your child gets more mobile, the jumper mode allows them to bounce to their hearts content whilst jumping on the kick pad to activate lights, sound and music to reward their efforts. This mode is also suitable for use from six months. Alternatively, the toy tray can simply be removed to provide an area for feeding and other activities. Finally, once they are ready to walk, the push-along mode (recommended for children aged 9 months upwards) provides all the features of the standard walker and the seat cleverly slides out of the way under the main tray, whilst still allowing access to all the accessories.

The walker has two adjustable height options in walker and push-along modes to suit the age and size of your baby. Clever numbered dials on the leg supports enable you to ensure you have the correct height before locking into place.

In our view, this is a very innovative product as it takes the place of a standard walker, bouncer and push-along, yet still provides great support and plenty of activities and sounds to encourage your child's developmental stages in a fun way -a definite must have for any little boy (or girl) racer!

BAD POINTS: The walker is relatively expensive but is very good quality and, as stated above, encompasses several products in one. The walker seat cannot be machine washed. Several batteries are required but not included, so these will need to be purchased separately.
